New Salesforce campaign does not show up for selection in Account Engagement

Description
A new Salesforce campaign was created, but is not showing up to be used in Account Engagement automation rules, dynamic lists, or completion actions. 
Résolution

Please note that on rare occasions it may take up to 10 minutes for a newly-created Salesforce campaign to naturally sync over to Account Engagement and to be made available for usage in Account Engagement automation rule and dynamic list criteria.

If after 6 hours a campaign is still not appearing for selection with Connected Campaigns enabled, please check your Connected Campaigns settings to ensure that the missing campaign is:
1. within the allocated "Limit Campaign Creation by Date"
2. has a campaign record type which is enabled for sync under "Campaign record types enabled for connection"
