Document folder for CPQ Quote Documents

Specifying a folder where CPQ Quote Documents are saved in your instance can be accomplished by performing these steps:

1. Navigate to Setup > Installed Packages > "Configure" Salesforce CPQ > Documents > select a Folder from the picklist
2. Ensure that the folder is accessible by the users or users in groups that are saving Quote Documents

Considerations

• A Quote Document can be attached to the Quote or Opportunity record after being created. Alternatively, it can be made available only in the selected Document folder. Each Quote Document is related to a Document file in the specified Document folder. These settings can be configured in the CPQ Document Package Settings. A View button exists on the Quote Document record. View access on the Quote Document respects the user's Document permissions setup in the Profile and Permission Set(s).
• The folder "SteelBrick CPQ Template Resources" should not be used for saving Quote Documents. Creating new Template Content queries folder contents when Template Content records are created. When there are greater than 1,000 documents in this folder, an error will occur such as "Error:Collection size 1,588 exceeds maximum size of 1,000"
• You can select User Personal Documents as the Document Folder, this isn't a specific folder but rather each user has an individual private folder and the generated document will be stored there. Documents stored in these folders are by default private.
