Change the Salesforce Connector User in Account Engagement

These instructions are for an Account Engagement Admin to change the Salesforce connector user.

Before you begin, you must make sure the new connector user has the Connector User permission set and the correct standard object and field permissions assigned in Salesforce.


Note:
Accounts with the v1 Connector cannot use the B2BMA Integration User as the connector user. That user is only available for use with v2 Connector. For more information, see this article.

For Accounts using the v1 Salesforce connector:

1. In pi.pardot.com, navigate to Admin > Connectors. -or- In Account Engagement Lightning App, navigate to Account Engagement Settings > Connectors.
2. Click the gear icon next to the Salesforce.com connector, and then click 'Edit'. 
3. Click 'Change Connector User'.
4. Log in to Salesforce as the new connector user. 
 
Your connector should begin verifying automatically. If it doesn't, click 'Verify Now'.

For Accounts using the v2 Salesforce connector:

1. In pi.pardot.com, navigate to Admin > Connectors. -or- In Account Engagement Lightning App, Account Engagement Settings > Connectors.
2. Click the gear icon next to the Salesforce.com connector, and then click 'Edit'.
3. Go to the section "Change Trusted Connector User", introduce the username and click on the button "Change Trusted Connector User".
Note: The chosen connector user's profile must be assigned to the connected app 'Pardot_to_SF_Integration_Secure_Connected_App'. See this article for more.
