The following example looks at how an Amendment Quote is generated, when the Contract's Start Date is 1/1/2024 and the End Date is 12/31/2025, with a standalone Subscription Product and an annual MDQ Product.

The created Amendment Quote's Subscriptions or Contract Line Items have the same End Date and the Contract's Amendment Start Date is 6/1/2024.

Considerations

  1. If the Contract's Amendment Start Date is 'Null', Salesforce CPQ uses Today's Date as the Start Date for the Amendment.
  2. Changing an Amendment Subscription Line's End Date is not supported as a Subscription Product's pricing includes proration. Pricing would change and Price changes to existing lines are not allowed on Amendment Quote Lines with Salesforce CPQ.
