When you are trying to import or update Campaigns or Campaign Members using Data Loader, you might encounter an issue where your import fails with the following error message:
'All campaigns within a hierarchy must have the same currency setting.'
This error typically occurs when you're managing nested campaigns and the currency values between a parent campaign and its associated child campaigns in your uploaded CSV file do not align, preventing the data from being successfully processed.
To successfully import or update your campaigns, you need to ensure that the currency settings for all campaigns within a hierarchy are consistent. This error occurs when the Parent Campaign linked to the Campaign in your uploaded CSV file contains different Currency values than the child campaigns.
You must edit the Campaign Currency either in your CSV file or directly in the Parent Campaign within Salesforce to ensure they match.
Here's how to edit the Parent Campaign in Salesforce:
1. Go to Campaign tab.
2. Select the Parent Campaign that is causing the conflict.
3. Click on the Edit button.
4. Update the 'Campaign Currency' field to match the currency of the child campaigns.
5. Save your changes.
1. Go to Campaign tab.
2. Select the Parent Campaign that is causing the conflict.
3. Click on the Edit button or double click directly on the 'Campaign Currency' field.
4. Update the 'Campaign Currency' field to match the currency of the child campaigns.
5. Save your changes.
