Sandbox vs Production performance

Sandbox orgs and Production orgs exist on different instances and have different usage patterns. As a result, these environments may differ in several key ways such as (but not limited to):

• Hardware Differences
• Data Distribution
• User Load

These differences may be most readily apparent when comparing asynchronous processing and database caching.

In conclusion, certain processes may be faster or slower when comparing production and sandbox environments. Please do not use Sandbox performance as a benchmark for Production performance and vice versa.
