Описание

In Lightning Experience, users may see two 'Recently Viewed' list views for the same object. This article explains why both appear and describes the differences between them.

In Salesforce Classic, there is only one 'Recently Viewed' Objects, such as Accounts or Contacts.

## Why Two Views Appear

This is working as designed. In Lightning Experience, two separate list views exist for recently viewed records — 'Recently Viewed' and 'Recently Viewed [Object Name]'. These are distinct views with different capabilities and sort behaviors, and both are expected to appear simultaneously. Lightning Experience only.

## Differences Between Recently Viewed and Recently Viewed [Object]

The Recently Viewed [Object] in Lightning has additional features compared to 'Recently Viewed'. This includes:

  • Ability to add Charts
  • Custom Buttons
  • 'Recently Viewed' is sorted by default by the most recent record, while 'Recently Viewed [Object Name]' is sorted by Name and by record frequency.
  • Recently Viewed Leads has an additional standard Viewed by User field
  • The 'Recently Viewed' list displays on the homepage for every standard and custom object. This view is not deletable, filterable, or editable. Salesforce admins can use the Object Manager in Setup to select and order columns for this view.
  • The 'Recently Viewed [Object]' is another list view available for most standard objects. The name includes the object name — for example, 'Recently Viewed Contacts'. Fields in this view cannot be edited or changed.
  • Both list views show the same records. Users can sort records and chart data in the Recently Viewed [Object] view. Users can switch to Salesforce Classic to reorder columns; the new order persists when switching back to Lightning Experience.

## Known Limitations

Currently, there is no way to merge these two list views into one. Users who want a single unified view can vote for this feature on the Salesforce IdeaExchange: Single Recently Viewed List View in Lightning Per Object.
