Enable Salesforce Multi-Currency with Multi-Currency Everywhere

    Organizations with international operations use Multi-Currency to track deals in local currencies while reporting in corporate currency.

    This article explains how to activate Multi-Currency Everywhere (MCE) for your Salesforce organization. Multi-Currency Everywhere is a self-service feature that allows a System Administrator to enable support for multiple currencies. After enabling, the organization can manage active currencies and track deals across international markets.

    Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

    How to Activate

    Multi-Currency Everywhere (MCE) is a self service feature, available by default for Organizations. A System Administrator can facilitate the activation of the feature in the Setup menu.

    Important Notes 

    • Multi-Currency Everywhere is permanent. After it’s enabled, this feature can’t be disabled.
    • We encourage you to test this functionality within a Sandbox or Developer Edition before enabling it within a Production environment.

    Steps for System Administrators to activate MCE


    In Lightning Experience

    1. Click the gear icon and select Setup.
    2. Enter Company Information in the Quick Find box, then click Company Information.
    3. Click Edit.
    4. Select the Activate Multiple Currencies checkbox and click Save.


    In Salesforce Classic

    1. Click Setup.
    2. Enter Company Information in the Quick Find box, then select Company Information.
    3. Click Edit.
    4. Select the Activate Multiple Currencies checkbox and click Save.

    Requesting Activation

    If you don't see the option to enable Multi-Currency, and you have one of the supported editions mentioned above, please have a System Administrator create an Activations Request with Support.


    Additional Note:

    • If Multi-Currency Everywhere has been enabled for the environment within the last 180 days, you can Monitor Setup Changes within the organization's Setup Audit Trail. The following entry appears:
    'Activate Multiple Currencies off to on. Activation currency ISO code: xxx'
