Fecha de publicación: May 1, 2026
Descripción

Overview

This article describes the event sync direction options available in the Lightning Sync configuration (Lightning Sync Configuration | Events) based on your connection method and the Lightning Experience status in your Salesforce organization.
Lightning Sync supports the following connection methods for event sync:

  • OAuth 2.0 for Google — Connects with your Google G Suite Enterprise Account to manage sync for Gmail users. Use this method when your organization uses Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) Enterprise and you want to sync Gmail users' events with Salesforce.
  • OAuth 2.0 for Microsoft Exchange — Connects with your Office 365 Enterprise Account with Exchange Online to manage sync for Office 365 users. Use this method when your organization uses Microsoft Office 365 with Exchange Online.
  • Service Account for Microsoft Exchange — Connects with your Office 365 Enterprise Account with Exchange Online OR Exchange On-premise Server 2013 with SP1/2016 to manage sync for Outlook users. Use this method when your organization uses Exchange on-premises or when a service account is required for centralized authentication.
