When using Enhanced Folder Sharing for Reports and Dashboards in Salesforce, administrators may notice that certain users are able to create and save new dashboards within folders they only have View access to. This behavior is unexpected and occurs due to a specific profile-level permission.

Résolution

The root cause is the 'Edit My Dashboards' profile permission, which allows users to create or clone dashboards regardless of folder-level View restrictions. The only available workaround is to remove this permission from the affected user's profile.
