Added Fields on the Salesforce 'Campaign Hierarchy' Related List Not Visible to Users With Access

Дата публикации: Mar 18, 2025
Описание

When the Campaign Hierarchy related list is added to the Campaign page layout, Administrators have an option to add fields and edit the columns that can be added to the Campaign Hierarchy related list.

However, when Administrators add the columns on the related list and save the layout, users can still only see the Campaign Name.

There are fields, described below, that when added will not appear on the layout even if the user's profile has access to the fields via Field Level Security or Accessibility.

The fields in question have two versions with similar naming conventions. For example, when looking at the standard Campaign fields, there is a field called "Num Sent", and another called "Total Num Sent in Hierarchy".  When talking about the Campaign Hierarchy, it's the "in Hierarchy" fields that Administrators need to have field-level security changed so that they are visible in the related list.  For this example, the "Total Num Sent in Hierarchy" is the field that users need to have field-level security added.

Please see the corresponding Campaign Fields in Campaign Hierarchy:

  • Actual Cost  - Total Actual Cost in Hierarchy
  • Budgeted Cost - Total Budgeted Cost in Hierarchy
  • Expected Revenue - Total Expected Revenue in Hierarchy
  • Num Sent - Total Num Sent in Hierarchy
  • Responses - Total Responses in Hierarchy
  • Value Opportunities - Total Value Opportunities in Hierarchy
  • Value Won Opportunities - Total Value Won Opportunities in Hierarchy
  • Won Opportunities - Total Won Opportunities in Hierarchy
  • Opportunities - Total Opportunities in Hierarchy
  • Contacts - Total Contacts in Hierarchy
  • Converted Leads - Total Converted Leads in Hierarchy
  • Leads - Total Leads in Hierarchy

To ensure that these fields are visible, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Setup
2. Type 'Field Accessibility' in the Quick Find, and select Field Accessibility (shown under 'Security Controls' in Classic, or under 'Security' in Lightning Experience)
3. You can select on which object you would like to view the field accessibility. Choose Campaign
4. You can choose whether to View: by Fields, by Profiles or by Record Types
5. Locate the View by Profile.
6. From there, you can see the Profiles and their access to the field. Take note of the access.
7. Click on a cell in the table to change the field's accessibility. (Click on the Visible)
8. You can change the setting for the profiles from Hidden to Visible, to Read only, by clicking on the access per Profile/Record Type. Make the changes, then Click Save. This should allow you to make the changes per Profile.
9. Save.
