When using the Salesforce Outlook Integration in Google Chrome, users may see the following error during authentication:
'We encountered a problem. For Help, contact your administrator.'
This error occurs due to a Google Chrome Cookies setting that blocks third-party cookies required by the Salesforce Outlook Integration. Users are typically able to authenticate successfully using other web browsers via Outlook Web Access, or via the local Outlook client.
The Salesforce Outlook Integration requires third-party cookies to be enabled in Google Chrome to complete authentication. Follow the steps below to disable the Block third-party cookies setting in Chrome.
Toggle the switch to the off position to disable the Block third-party cookies setting.
Note: Other web browsers may experience the same behavior. The naming scheme for the cookies setting may vary by browser, but the same principle applies — third-party cookies must be allowed for the Salesforce Outlook Integration to authenticate.
