Determine Which Template Was Used to Send a List Email

  • This article explains how to determine which email template was used when sending a List Email in Salesforce Lightning Experience. A Salesforce administrator or sales representative can locate the template details by viewing the activity record created under Past Activity on a Contact or Lead record that was included in the list email.
  • This article applies to Lightning Experience only. Viewing the email template used in a mass email (also called a List Email) is available exclusively for emails sent through the Send List Email button in Lightning Experience. This feature is not available in Salesforce Classic.
Résolution

To determine which email template was used in a List Email, locate the activity record created when the mass email was sent. Follow these steps on any Contact or Lead record that was included in the list email:

  1. Open a Contact or Lead record that is included in the list email.
  2. Under Past Activity, click the activity name that was created when the mass email was sent.
  3. Under the Message tab, view the sender, subject, and content of the email that was sent.
  4. The Details tab shows additional information about the mass email, including a copy of the HTML body and text body of the email template that was used.
