What changed?
Salesforce retired the Setup Assistant for Salesforce Classic, a wizard which helps system administrators complete basic configuration and import data, on August 18, 2016.
Instead of using the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant, you can access all the configurations within the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant directly from Salesforce Setup.
What happened after the End of Life date?
NOTE: Any actions (adding users, setting up sales stages, or importing data) made via the Setup Assistant (Lightning Experience or Salesforce Classic version) before the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant retirement will not be impacted by this change. You will need to make further updates through the Salesforce setup menu after the Salesforce Classic Setup Assistant retirement date.
What action did I need to take?
Use the regular Salesforce Setup menu to set up your Salesforce environment. Use the reference table to locate where to complete basic org setup actions within the Salesforce Setup:
| Task/Phase | Salesforce Setup Location |
|
Setup | Administer | Data Management and select the Data Import Wizard
|
Setup | Build | Customize | Opportunities | Fields and select Stages
|
Setup | Administer | Users and select New User |
