You may experience one or more of the following symptoms when using the Salesforce Outlook Integration, Salesforce Inbox, or Salesforce for Outlook side panel in the Microsoft Outlook desktop application:
Note: The side panel loads and displays content correctly when using Outlook on the web (OWA) but not in the Microsoft Outlook desktop application.
A mismatch or incorrect value in the Windows Registry for the Outlook.exe key under the FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION section is the most common cause of this issue.
The Salesforce Outlook Integration, Salesforce Inbox, and Salesforce for Outlook side panel may fail to render correctly in the Microsoft Outlook desktop application when the Windows Registry Browser Emulation setting for Outlook.exe is missing or has an incorrect value. The following steps explain how to set the correct registry value (11000) to resolve the rendering issue.

Check the installed version of Internet Explorer and ensure the latest version is installed. If Internet Explorer is not current, contact your IT Help Desk to request an upgrade.
