Mass Upload Files in Salesforce And Make Them Private on Records With Data Loader

In order to set the privacy when importing files using Salesforce Data Loader, perform the following steps:

1. Set the field 'File Privacy on Records' in the page layout by performing the following:

1. Click on Setup > Build > Customize > Salesforce Files > Page Layouts
2. Click on Edit on the page layout.
3. Drag and drop 'File Privacy on Records' field then click on Save. 

1. Click on the gear icon > Setup > Object Manager > Content Version > Page Layouts 
2. Click on Edit on the page layout. 
3. Drag and drop 'File Privacy on Records' field then select Save.  

2. Once the field is added, create a .csv file with the following columns:

• TITLE
• VERSIONDATA
• DESCRIPTION
• PATHONCLIENT
• SHARING PRIVACY

• Private on Records use "P" 
• Visible to Anyone With Record Access use "N" 

3. Using Data Loader, insert the files in the ContentVersion object. Only map the following fields: 

• TITLE
• VERSIONDATA
• DESCRIPTION
• PATHONCLIENT
• SHARING PRIVACY
