When you insert new records via Data Loader, you may receive the error message "Use one of these records." This will cause your import to fail.

The error message indicates that you have a duplicate or matching rule active in your organization, and one of the records in the CSV file does not pass that rule.

To check duplicate rules or matching rules in Classic or Lightning

1. Click Setup
2. In the Quick Find box, enter Duplicate Rules or Matching Rules
3. Review the rules to determine the criteria that might block the record creation.

To check your CSV file for duplicate records

1. In your CSV file, copy each record that might meet the criteria and search for a record in your org to verify if it already exists, or;
2. Create a report filtered by 'ALL' and then cross check it with your CSV file for existing records. A Vlookup is helpful with comparing 2 files.

Vlookup is a function in Excel that helps you find specific information in a large table of data. Imagine you have a list of employees with their names and phone numbers, and you want to find the phone number of a specific employee. Instead of searching through the list manually, you can use VLOOKUP to quickly find the information.

Note: It is recommended that your system administrator perform these checks as they will have the most visibility into the records in your organization.
