Unable to rename 'Converted' on Lead Path in Lightning

Publish Date: Aug 22, 2024
Description

After enabling Path assistant in Lightning, administrators may notice that they are not able to rename or remove the value 'Converted' at the end of the Lead/Sales path. Although not a picklist value in the Lead 'Status' field, Users are still seeing the stage 'Converted'.

Below is the steps to reproduce the scenario:
  • Go to 'Status' field in the Lead object
  • Add a new picklist value and set it as 'Converted'
  • Make sure that there's no picklist value whose label and API name is 'Converted'

For more information about setting up converted lead status, go to Setup and display of converted Lead status values.

Resolution

'Converted' status in Lead path is a generic value and not a picklist value

The 'Converted' status in Lead path is a generic value and not a picklist value. The real value of the converted status will show up when users followed the following steps:

1. Clicked 'Select Converted Status' button at the end of the Lead path.
2. On the lower right corner of the form that shows up, from here users will have the ability to set the right converted status.
3. If you are updating the lead status value then the API name and the lead status label should match.

Consider voting on the idea below to display your converted value in Lead path instead of the generic 'Converted' status. Set Sales Path to Stage Name instead of "Converted"
