Why iframes Are Not Supported

There are three key reasons why Experience Builder sites do not support <iframe> integration:

• Security — iframing websites can result in cross-site scripting security issues, and many modern browsers can block content loaded in iframes.
• Performance — Experience Builder sites use a single-page application (SPA) framework optimized for sequential page impressions. Loading this within a parent iframe container can impact overall performance.
• Responsive Design — Out-of-the-box components use the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS), which can conflict with custom styling from the parent container.

Alternative: Use Visualforce or Canvas for Iframe-Like Embedding

If an iframe implementation is a strict business requirement, consider these supported alternatives:

• Visualforce — Salesforce's page rendering framework that supports iframe embedding. Visualforce pages are supported in Experience Builder sites and can be used as an alternative to direct iframe integration.
• Canvas — Salesforce's app integration framework that allows embedding third-party applications within Salesforce pages, including Experience Builder sites.
