ReferencedFields Field Set in Salesforce CPQ

Description
The ReferencedFields field set is a custom field set that can be created on the Quote, Quote Line, and Quote Line Group objects. Once created, any field added to the field set on each object is made available for use during the calculation process for quotes.

Use cases for the ReferencedFields field set:
  • Fields used in the Quote Calculator Plugin - Typically these fields are populated in the fields in the Custom Script object which are for listing the fields from each object which are referenced in the QCP. If a field does not appear available for use in the QCP, try adding the ReferencedFields field set to the object and adding that field to the field set.
  • Fields needed for use in API returns - When performing a read on the Quote object via the API (See: Read Quote API Developer Documentation), you can add fields to the API return by adding them to this field set.
  • Fields used in Product Search Plugin - Any fields added to this field set will be added to the quote model parameter that is passed in to the Product Search Plugin. (See: Product Search Plugin)
  • Lookup Fields used in Price Actions or Price Condition Formulas
Résolution

To create this field set:

  1. Navigate to the Custom Object page for the Quote, Quote Line, or Quote Line Group object in the Setup menu of the org
  2. In the Field Sets related list, click New
  3. Field Set Label = ReferencedFields | Field Set Name = ReferencedFields
  4. Save
  5. Select fields to add to the field set
