Salesforce CPQ error 'Attempt to de-reference a null Object' in Product Configuration

It is not a supported use case to have an Optional SKU and Configured SKU look up to the same product on a Product Option. 

An "Attempt to de-reference a null object" exception error will occur when saving from Product configuration if this configuration exists. 
Solución

Reconfigure your Product Option ensuring the Optional SKU and Configured SKU do not look up to the same Product.
