Change Record Type Button Not Showing in Salesforce Classic (Appears In Lightning)

The Change Record Type button is available on the Page layout, however after saving the layout, the button is not showing up on record. 

Below are the steps to check the "Change Record Type" button on Page layout: 

In Classic:
Click Setup | Customize | Name of the object | Page Layout
 

In Lightning:
Click Setup | Object Manager | Name of the Object | Page Layouts

Note: You will see the 'Change Record Type' button in Mobile and Lightning Actions and in the Buttons section.

Go to any page layout and click Edit. You will see Change Record Type button as one of the available Standard buttons. However, after saving the Page Layout. The button is not available to use on record. 

Solución

The behavior is working as designed. The Change Record Type button can be added to the page layout in Lightning Experience but not in Classic view.

In Lightning, you can add the button with these steps:

Navigate to Setup -> Object Manager -> Name of the object -> Page Layout -> Click on Mobile and Lightning Actions in page layout -> Drag and drop 'Change Record Type' actions.
