Set Up Call Bridge for Outbound Calls in Lightning Dialer (Sales Dialer)

The Outbound Call Bridge feature in Lightning Dialer allows users to place calls using their desk phone or mobile phone instead of their computer.

This is useful when:

  • Users are away from their desk
  • Internet connectivity is weak or unreliable
  • A separate business phone line is preferred

When enabled:

  • Lightning Dialer first calls the bridge number (your phone)
  • After you answer, it automatically dials the target number

For inbound call bridging, a Dialer Inbound License is required.

Key capabilities:

  • Local presence dialing
  • Call recording
  • Voicemail drop
  • Call monitoring (listen-in by managers)

Important:

  • Each outbound call uses double minutes (two calls are placed)
  • Call Bridge cannot be used to monitor calls

Follow these steps to enable and configure Outbound Call Bridge:


Step 1: Enable Outbound Bridge (Admin Setup)

  1. Go to Setup
  2. In the Quick Find box, search for Dialer Settings
  3. Select Dialer Settings
  4. Enable Outbound Bridge

Step 2: Configure Bridge Number (User Setup)

  1. Click your Avatar
  2. Select Settings
  3. Navigate to Dialer → Dialer Settings
  4. Enable Make outbound calls through my phone
  5. Enter your phone number (bridge number)
  6. Click Save

How It Works

  1. User initiates a call in Lightning Dialer
  2. Dialer calls the bridge number
  3. User answers the call
  4. Dialer connects to the recipient automatically
