Salesforce Tasks: Cannot Add Additional Assignees to the Assigned To Field After Saving

Description

In Salesforce, when creating a new Task, users can assign it to multiple people or groups using the Assigned To field. However, once a Task record is saved, additional assignees cannot be added or changed. This limitation applies in both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience.

Limitation Details

Assigning multiple users to a Task is only available during Task creation.

Once the Task is saved, the Assigned To field cannot be updated to add new assignees.

Workaround

To assign the same task to additional people, delete the existing task and create a new one, selecting all intended assignees before saving.
