Unable to Create a New Quote Line Item in Lightning Experience

This issue occurs when a Blank Space element has been added to the Quote Line Item page layout in Salesforce. When a user attempts to add a New Quote Line Item from a Quote record in Lightning Experience, the creation window opens but fails to fully load. The user must click X or Cancel to return to the previous page. The steps below explain how to reproduce this behavior and how to resolve it.
Steps to verify the issue:

1. Navigate to an Opportunity record.
2. Navigate to an existing Quote record, or create a new Quote record.
3. On the Quote record related list, click the "Add Line Item" button (labeled "Add Product" in Lightning Experience) under Quote Line Item.
4. You will notice that the Create Quote Line Item window does not load the page.
5. Click X or Cancel to return to the previous window.

Root Cause

This behavior occurs when a Blank Space is present on the Quote Line Item page layout. The Blank Space element causes the New Quote Line Item creation window to fail to load in Lightning Experience.

Steps to Resolve

To resolve the loading issue with the New Quote Line Item creation window, follow the steps below. The page layout change must be made in Salesforce Classic (Aloha), after which you can validate the fix in Lightning Experience.

1. Switch to Aloha (Salesforce Classic).
2. Navigate to the Quote Line Item Page Layout.
3. Search for a Blank Space on the layout.
4. Remove the Blank Space (repeat steps 3–4 if there is more than one Blank Space present).
5. Switch back to Lightning Experience.
6. Navigate to a Quote record and attempt to add a Quote Line Item. Confirm that the New Quote Line Item creation page now loads successfully.
