'Open Activities' and 'Activity History' Related Lists in Salesforce Lightning Experience

In Lightning Experience, when users view standard Lightning pages for the Case or Asset object's records, the "Open Activities" and "Activity History" related lists and related list quick links are available by default.

Because of the newer Lightning Activity Timeline component, the "Open Activities"and "Activity History" related lists for other objects such as Accounts, Contacts, Contracts, Leads, Opportunities, and activity-enabled custom objects related lists, may not be present by default on the standard Lightning pages. 

Also, if the User's Profile does not have Read access to the Related To field of the Field Level Security for a task object, "Open Activities" and "Activity history" related lists may not show on their end.
 

Løsning

For desired object Lightning record pages, administrators may Create and Configure Lightning Experience Record Pages, by adding or removing the  standard "Activities" Lightning component and/or "Open Activities" and "Activity history" related lists.

Users may also set their own individual preferences to see either related lists or the Activity Timeline as outlined in the Set the Default Activities View documentation.


Note: The Activity History may not show in the "Related Lists" Standard Lightning Page Components if the Activity Timeline is enabled.  It is possible to include the "Open Activities" and "Activity History" related lists by adding a "Related List - Single" component for each, and setting either "Open Activities" and "Activity History" for the component's Related List attribute.
