Libraries Not Available in Salesforce Lightning Experience Files — Enable Salesforce CRM Content

게시 일자: Jul 14, 2026
상세 설명

In Salesforce Lightning Experience, users may not see Libraries in the Files navigation menu. This typically occurs when Salesforce CRM Content has not been fully configured, users do not have the required Content licenses, or they are not members of the appropriate libraries.

Community administrators using Experience Builder may also see the message: "Libraries aren't enabled. But you can still upload images to use as asset files." This article explains the required configuration steps to enable Libraries in Lightning Experience.

Resolution (UPDATED)

Step 1: Set Up Salesforce CRM Content

A system administrator must first enable Salesforce CRM Content for the organization.

  1. Navigate to Setup.
  2. Search for CRM Content in the Quick Find box.
  3. Complete the Salesforce CRM Content setup process.

Step 2: Assign Content Licenses and Library Membership

After CRM Content is enabled, verify that affected users have the required access.

  • Assign a Content License to each user.
  • Ensure users are members of the appropriate Libraries (configured in Salesforce Classic).

You can manage library membership from Setup | Manage Users | Users | (User Name) | Content Library Membership.

Step 3: Enable the "Show Libraries" Setting in Lightning Experience

If Salesforce CRM Content is configured but Libraries still do not appear in Lightning Experience, a system administrator may need to enable the "Show libraries in Files Home and Files List component" organization setting.

If this setting is not available in your org, log a case with Salesforce Support and provide authorization for Support to enable the feature.

Note: After the feature is enabled, users can access Libraries from the Files tab in Lightning Experience.
