Salesforce Related List Sort Order in Lightning Experience Does Not Match Sort Order in Salesforce Classic

Users can manually set their preferred sort order for Related Lists in Lightning Experience. This preference is saved per user and persists across sessions.

Steps to Set Related List Sort Order in Lightning Experience

1. Click the View All link in a Related List that is not sorting as intended.
2. On the following page (displaying all related records), click on a relevant column header to set the desired sort order.
3. Return to the parent record. The sort order is retained.

The steps above do not apply to the following Related Lists. These cannot be sorted in Lightning Experience:

• Activity History Related Lists
• Field Tracking and Object History Related Lists
