Add Products action doesn't auto-populate Sales Price in Lightning Experience

In Lightning Experience, the Sales Price doesn't carry over from the Product List Price during the 'Add Product' action like it does in Classic Experience. Lightning Experience merges a product’s standard and custom price book entries into a single Price Books related list. This is different from Salesforce Classic, which has separate related lists for Standard Prices and Price Books which allows for carrying over the Product List Price during the Add Product Action.

For Example: A sales rep adds products to an Opportunity in Lightning and notices the Sales Price field is blank even though a List Price is set.

Ratkaisu

In certain cases, adding the List Price in the Price Book Entry 'Search Layout' for the affected users' Profile will resolve this issue.

Note: This is a potential workaround and may not work for every use case.

To confirm that 'List Price' is included in the Price Book Entry:

  1. Navigate to Setup.
  2. In Quick Find type Price Book Entries.
  3. Click Search Layouts.
  4. Edit the Search Layout for the affected Profile and confirm that 'List Price' is selected in the Selected Fields box.
  5. If the affected Profile is using the Default Layout, edit this layout and confirm that 'List Price' is selected in the Selected Fields box.
