Update First and Last Name in the Salesforce Help Portal

The name associated with your User has changed in your Salesforce org or Marketing Cloud environment, but when you login to the Help Portal, the old name still shows in some places. When you submit a case to Support, they still refer to you as the old name.
 
Solución
In most cases, Help Portal will show the first and last name connected with your Salesforce or Marketing Cloud login. 

For example, after these name values change on the user in your Salesforce organization, the Help Portal will update your name to match the next time you log in to the portal.

Some areas of the Help Portal will show the new name on your portal user, while other areas will use the first and last name that was original populated. When this happens, you can manually change your name in the "My Settings" area of the Help Portal.
 

1. Login to the Help Portal.
2. Click on "Contact Support" tab on the top.
3. Select the "Organization Settings" option, and then "Profile Settings".
4. On the page that loads, edit the Name fields.
5. Supply any other required information.
6. Click "Save"


Your case contact information should now be updated.

If you are still facing issues after following the steps above, please log a case with Salesforce Support.

Notes: Except in the case of correcting typos and legal name changes, these situations can be avoided by following some essential best practices for user management:
a. User accounts in an organization should have first and last names that match those of the person connected to the account (e.g. Joe Smith rather than Joe Admin).
b. User accounts that are no longer needed by the individual for whom they were created should be deactivated rather than being renamed and reused for a different person (e.g. user leaves company and is replaced by someone else).
c. New User accounts should be created for new individuals who need access to a Salesforce organization.
