Where Can I Set Salesforce Task Reminders in Lightning Experience

In Salesforce Lightning Experience, Task Reminders can be set in specific locations depending on how the task is created. This article covers the three supported scenarios for setting reminders on tasks: from the Task tab, when editing an existing task, and when using the New Task quick action.

Note: The Log A Call quick action does not support task reminders.

 Task reminders are supported in Lightning Experience in these places:  

  • When users create a task from the Task tab, provided that a Salesforce admin has added the Reminder Set and Due Date fields to the task page layout.
  • When users edit an existing task, provided that an admin has added the Reminder Set and Due Date fields to the task page layout.
  • When users create a task via the New Task quick action, provided that an admin has added the Reminder Set and Due Date fields to the New Task Global Action. The Log A Call quick action doesn’t support reminders.
