In Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL), when attempting to assign or schedule a Service Appointment to a Service Resource, users may encounter the error: 'Service cannot be scheduled where primary territory member is not defined.' Solución

Resolve 'Primary Territory Member not defined' error

Note: If there is an existing Service Territory Member record and you still see the error please verify that the Territory Type is set to Primary and the Start Date is BEFORE the Service Appointment's Start Date.

1. Navigate to the Service Resource's detail page.
2. Click the New Service Territory Member button on the 'Service Territories' related list.
3. Select a Service Territory.
4. Set the 'Territory Type' to Primary.
5. Select a 'Start Date' prior to the Service Appointment's 'Start Date.'
6. Click the Save button.

After performing the steps above, you'll be able to assign the Service Appointment.
