In Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL), when attempting to assign or schedule a Service Appointment to a Service Resource, users may encounter the error: 'Service cannot be scheduled where primary territory member is not defined.' This error occurs when the Service Resource does not have an active Service Territory Member record with Territory Type set to 'Primary', or when the Service Territory Member's Start Date is after the Service Appointment's scheduled start date.
Note: If there is an existing Service Territory Member record and you still see the error please verify that the Territory Type is set to Primary and the Start Date is BEFORE the Service Appointment's Start Date.
