Beskrivelse

Users may notice that Events that are accessible in Salesforce Classic are not visible when they access the Calendar in Lightning Experience. Accessing the Calendar in Lightning Experience may also return an error message:

Overview

This error occurs when the user's Profile lacks the minimum field-level permissions required to display Calendars and Events in Salesforce Lightning Experience. There are three possible causes and corresponding resolutions.

Resolution 1: Set Minimum Field Permissions on the Profile

Navigate to the user's assigned Profile.

Set Field Permissions (see Additional Resources) to at least 'Read' access for the following Event object fields:

  • All-Day Event (IsAllDayEvent)
  • Subject (Subject)
  • Start (StartDateTime)
  • End (EndDateTime)
  • Location (Location)
  • Description (Description).

Resolution 2: Group and Professional Editions — Add All-Day Event to the Event Layout

In Group and Professional Editions, the 'All-Day Event' field must be added to the Event page layout. If the field is missing from the layout, users will receive the calendar access error.

Resolution 3: Experience Cloud Community — Check Calendar Sharing Settings

If this error occurs in an Experience Cloud community (formerly Community Cloud), verify the Calendar object sharing settings:

Setup > Quick Find 'Sharing Settings' > Search for 'Calendar' object > Verify that Default Internal Access and Default External Access are not set to 'Hide Details and Add Events.' Uncheck if enabled.
