Error 'We can't send your email' When Using Einstein Activity Capture

When Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) is enabled, Lightning Experience (LEX) users as well as the non-administrator users are unable to send an outbound email from Salesforce. They encounter the error, "We can't send your email. Try again, or contact your Salesforce admin." or "Contact Salesforce Support

Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in to an organization.
  2. Switch to Lightning Experience.
  3. Enable Einstein Activity Capture (EAC).
  4. Assign the EAC permission set to any affected User.
  5. Send email from Email action on any object. 
  6. Click Send, the affected user gets the error "We can't send your email. Try again, or contact your Salesforce admin."
Ratkaisu


To fix this issue, reconnect your email account from Personal Settings:

Go to your Avatar | Settings | Connected Accounts page and authenticate or reconnect your Email account as needed.

If you have Inbox enabled, you can also do this from one of Inbox clients (Outlook or Gmail).
