Outline of What Happens after Account Engagement Account is inactivated/archived

An Account Engagement account can be inactivated/archived for several reasons (a lapse in billing, contract error, or similar scenarios).
 
The following happens to your Account Engagement assets when your account is inactivated/archived:
  • All email links and custom redirects stop working.
  • Landing pages are displayed as a blank page.
  • Forms are no longer visible and can’t be submitted.
  • Form handler URLs no longer accept submissions.
  • Any existing automation rules, Engagement Studio programs, and scheduled emails are paused.
  • All connectors become unverified.
  • Account Engagement account data permanent deletion will begin 90 days after the account is archived. This is a non-reversible action.

What actions can you take if your account has been archived?

  • If you would like to be able to export the data in Account Engagement, you will need to reach out to Support within 30 days of your account being archived and provide a C-Level signed letter requesting temporary account reactivation.
    Note: Support can only assist for single business unit customers, those with more than one Account Engagement business until will need to work with their account representative directly.
  • If more than 30 days have passed, you will need to work with your account representative directly to get your account temporarily reactivated. Once your account is temporarily reactivated, you can do the following:
    • Prospect data and any reporting tables must be exported manually. Exports can be completed via 'Tools' when viewing a reporting table. For those who have worked with their account representative directly, the Export API can be used to retrieve large sets of data.
    • The HTML code for emails, layout templates, and landing pages can be copy/pasted into other platforms as needed.
    • Account Engagement native assets (forms, automation rules, and so forth) can’t be exported. 
  • If you use the Enhanced Landing Pages features, they can be associated with a Salesforce campaign record. If your Account Engagement contract ends and the account is archived, you will not be able to delete a campaign record if it's associated with an enhanced landing page. We restrict campaigns from being deleted if any enhanced landing pages reference the campaign.

What actions should you take if the account has been unarchived?

  • Unpause any automation rules and Engagement Studio programs.
  • In the event that you had emails scheduled, we recommend editing and updating them with new send times.
  • Edit and reverify your connectors that need to be active.
