Overview of the Salesforce 'Campaign with Influenced Opportunities' Report

Publish Date: Sep 24, 2025
Description

The Campaigns with Influenced Opportunities report displays Campaigns that have Opportunities associated by multiple methods:

  1. A Campaign is associated to a Contact Role on the Opportunity. This means that the Contact that is assigned to a Contact Role on an open Opportunity is a member of a Campaign.
  2. Use of the Add to Campaign button on the Campaign Influence related list on the Opportunity record (Campaign Influence 1.0 only)
  3. Enter a Campaign in the Primary Campaign Source field on the Opportunity record (any Campaign saved in this field will be reported, even if it is later removed or replaced)

For a non-admin to see records in this report, follow the instructions for configuring Campaign Influence.

If the New button on the Campaign Influence related list on the Opportunity record is used to add the Campaign to the Opportunity, this will not result in the Campaign being displayed on the Campaigns with Influenced Opportunities report.

Note: The New button is only available with Customizable Campaign Influence where the Campaign Influence Model is NOT locked.

Resolution

In this scenario, creating and using a Custom Report Type of Opportunities with Campaign Influence would display the desired results.
