Marketing Cloud - How To Update Subscriber Status from Held to Active

You can update status of all subscribers with Held status by importing the subscriber list as a file to all subscribers list.
 

To update all Held status to Active

1. In Email Studio, select All Subscribers (or Lists) and click Search
2. Select “Subscriber Status” for Search where: and “Undeliverable” for Is equal to:
3. Click Find Now
4. When search result is displayed, click Export
5. In Export Wizard, select Subscriber Key, Email Address and Email Status for attributes and export.
6. Update “Email Status” to “Active” in the exported file, and import to All Subscribers to update
   See below for example of imported list.
   ----
   Subscriber Key,Email Address,Status
   Subkey001,xxx@yyyy.com,Active
   Subkey002,www@zzzz.com,Active
   ----

To update manually on UI screen

To update status to Active, follow the steps 1 to 3 described above first, and then follow the steps below.
Make sure you are in the parent organization when following these steps.

4-b. Select a subscriber, and click Show Properties
5-b. Click Unsubscribe once, and click OK
6-b. Show properties of the subscriber again, and click Activate
