The following error message appears in the Outlook Integration side panel:
"We encountered a problem. Contact your administrator and mention that your Exchange account is already associated with another Salesforce login."
This error occurs when the user's Exchange email address is already mapped to a different Salesforce account. The Outlook Integration requires a one-to-one mapping between an Exchange email address and a Salesforce login. If the email address was previously configured with another Salesforce org or login, the mapping must be removed before reconnecting.
This article explains how to resolve the error that occurs when an Exchange email address is already mapped to a different Salesforce account. A Salesforce administrator must delete the existing mapping so the user can reconnect via the Outlook Integration.
Note: These steps must be performed by a Salesforce administrator. If you do not have administrator access, ask your Salesforce administrator to complete the steps on your behalf.
These steps remove the Exchange email address mapping from the other Salesforce account. After deletion, go back to Outlook or OWA (Outlook Web App) and reconnect using the Outlook Integration.
