Account Engagement Phone field is preventing submissions to go through in a Form

When you want to capture a prospect's phone number through a form and the field's Data Format is setup as 'Number', submissions with that field filled in will only go through if the value contains numbers only. Common punctuations for phone numbers (for example, 222.333.4444 or (222)-333-4444 will not allow the submission to go through.

With the Data Format set to "Number" only submissions with values that have a string of uninterrupted numbers will be accepted (for example, 2223334444).

We recommend to use a text data format for phone number fields. 

1. Go to the Form and click "Edit".
2. On Step 2 of the Form Wizard (Fields) in your Form, Edit the phone field. 
3. Under the 'Basic' tab, click the dropdown next to 'Data Format' and select 'Text' instead of 'Number'.

The 'Text' format will accept numbers as well as punctuations, which will allow submissions to go through.
