Salesforce CPQ Mobile Limitations and Usability Differences

Date de publication: Mar 5, 2026
Description

While Salesforce CPQ is compatible with the Salesforce app for Android and iOS, there are several limitations and usability issues that need to be considered before users start utilizing Salesforce CPQ on their mobile devices.

Résolution

The Salesforce CPQ Support Team has compiled the following list of known unsupported items and usability issues. If you are unable to access functionality that is not listed below, please log a case with Salesforce CPQ Support. An investigation will be done to determine if it is supported in our mobile interface.

Salesforce CPQ Unsupported Items

  • Desktop Experience is not supported for mobile browsers. While it's possible to access and use some elements of the Lightning or Classic UI from a web browser on your mobile phone or tablet, we don't actively support or provide troubleshooting assistance for those experiences when they're accessed outside of a desktop web browser. See Requirements for the Salesforce App for more info.
  • Selecting a Primary Contact on the Quote does not auto-populate the phone, fax, and email fields for the contact.
  • Solution Groups are currently not available for use in the Salesforce mobile app.
  • Product Results Group Field Name in Salesforce CPQ's package settings is not supported in the Salesforce mobile app.
  • Reassigning Advanced Approvals is not supported in the Salesforce mobile app.
  • Product Option Drawer Attributes are not supported in the Salesforce mobile app.
  • Column resizing within the Quote Line Editor is not supported in the Salesforce mobile app; however, changes made to column widths in the desktop experience will apply to the mobile app as well. Optimize Column Widths in the Quote Line Editor for more details.
  • Select Template button when emailing a quote document is unsupported in the Salesforce Mobile App.

Salesforce CPQ Usability Differences

  • CPQ Product Search is not currently supported on Mobile Experience
  • After creating a New Quote users must click on the quote that was created to navigate to it.
  • The Quote's Clone with Related action does not show or clone related items and the page is not styled for the Salesforce mobile app experience.
  • The Quote's Calculate button is not compatible with the mobile UI.
  • The Include Document page does not restrict what document types can be attached and is not styled to align with the Salesforce mobile app experience.
  • When viewing a Quote Document in the Salesforce mobile app, the PDF does not scroll beyond page 1.
  • Collapsible / Expandable Bundles are not supported in the Mobile Line Editor.
  • When using nested bundles, users must swipe left on the bundle option that needs to be configured while in the bundle configurator to access the Configure option.
  • In Salesforce CPQ's quote line editor
    • Users must swipe left on the quote line to access the list of quote line actions such as Configure, Clone, Delete, Segment, etc.
    • Users are unable to manually order lines, sort columns, or use drag and drop.
    • Salesforce CPQ's quote line editor requires that an active Custom Action with Location = Group or Quote/Group exists in the environment. If a Custom Action does not exist with this Location set, the quote line editor will not load and no error message is shown.
    • Line editor labels for Details, Standard, Segmented always show in English regardless of the user's language.
    • When configuring a parent product, Salesforce CPQ's product configurator only supports 70 visible options per product bundle in the Salesforce mobile app.
    • When configuring a parent product with Option Layout set to Tab or Wizard, features and product options will display utilizing the Sections option layout.
    • Add Favorites is not styled for Salesforce mobile. Different columns on the Add Favorites page will use different size fonts. The Add Favorites arrow appears to not be lined up correctly.

Android Specific Usability Differences:

  • On Android, when logged in as a Partner Community user, clicking the View action on Salesforce CPQ's Quote Document records will result in the user being directed to a blank page where download begins for the document and then immediately fails.
