All Account Engagement email links are rewritten for each recipient once you send the email. Below is the reason why, and how you can prevent this from happening if you choose to.
Account Engagement will rewrite email links for sent emails. This is the expected behavior to better track engagement. To track link clicks, Account Engagement rewrites URLs in your emails and creates a new URL specific to the receiving prospects. This is how we know when prospects click links from their emails. This also applies for all hyperlinks in emails. Clicking a tracked link will set a cookie in your browser for the prospect to whom the email was originally sent.
Once the recipient clicks any of the unique links generated specifically for them, their activities can be tracked for more personalized marketing content.
