By default, a record is created for each User who is sent an Event. In a Task and Events report that includes multi-person Calendar Events, these records may seem like duplicate events. In fact, you are seeing a new line for each event invitation.
To remove these duplicates from the report, add a report filter for Event Invitation equals False.
Multi-person Calendar Events in Salesforce generate one Event record per invitee. When a Tasks and Events report includes all event types, each invitee record appears as a separate row, which can look like duplicate entries. Adding a filter for Event Invitation = False shows only the organizer's event record.
