Custom Attributes are key-value pairs configured on a Connected App in Salesforce Setup that control specific behaviors of the Salesforce Mobile App. This article lists known Custom Attributes, their behavior, and best practices for managing them in the Salesforce Mobile App for iOS and Android.

Best Practice when updating Connected App Attributes:

To avoid disrupting active user sessions when making changes to a Connected App:

  1. The System Administrator can block all users from the application via the Connected Apps page in Setup.
  2. On the Connected Apps OAuth Usage page, the block button is on the far right side of the screen.
  3. Once blocked, all users will have their current session revoked and will be prompted to log in again.
  4. It is important for the administrator to immediately unblock the application to allow users to log in again.

This Custom Attribute redirects email compose actions in the Salesforce Mobile App to a specified third-party email client using a URI (Uniform Resource Identifier — a string that identifies the location of an app or resource).

  • If you have an issue with any of the suggested URIs below, confirm the correct URI with the app developer.
  • Salesforce Support does not troubleshoot non-functioning URIs.

This Custom Attribute controls file sharing behavior in the Salesforce Mobile App.

  • Without this Custom Attribute, users are able to download and share files via email.
  • This Custom Attribute does not prevent users from using the iOS Share functionality in the Quick Lookup controller to share a file to another app.
