Error 'Page not available' when using Global Search in Customer Account Portal Experience site

You may notice unexpected results when you search in an Experience site built with the Customer Account Portal template.


Symptoms:

  • Some users may encounter an error message: 'Page not available Maybe the page was deleted, the URL is incorrect, or something else went wrong. If you know the page exists but you still can’t get to it, please ask the Experience Site administrator for help.'
  • Other users may notice that nothing happens when they type a search term and hit enter.

 

Решение

This behavior occurs when the Global Search template component does not contain a value in the 'Placeholder Text for Search Field.'

To correct this behavior: 

1. Navigate to Setup and enter Experience into the Quick Find box.
2. Click All Sites.
3. Click Builder next to the impacted Experience Site.
4. Click the "Global Search Box" component. 
5. In the "Placeholder Text for Search Field", enter a value such as Search... 
6. Click Publish to save.
