In Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), users may notice that the Last Interaction and/or Next Interaction fields are blank on a Client Account or Household record, even though past and/or future activities exist on the account.
This article explains the specific conditions that must be met for these fields to be populated in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.

Ratkaisu

In Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), the Last Interaction and Next Interaction fields on Client Account and Household records are only populated by Events or Tasks that meet specific criteria. If these fields appear blank despite existing activities, verify the following conditions are met.

Required Conditions for Last Interaction and Next Interaction to Populate

All of the following must be true for an activity to update these fields:

  1. The activity must be an Event or Task with a Task Subtype equal to "Call".
  2. The activity must use a Record Type defined in the InteractionFieldUpdates Custom Metadata Type (CMT). The InteractionFieldUpdates CMT is a configuration record in Financial Services Cloud that specifies which Activity Record Types are permitted to update the Interaction fields.
  3. The Contact field on the activity must look up to the Client's Contact record.

Note: The "Task Subtype" field can only be set when a Task is first created. It cannot be changed after the Task has been saved.

Household-Level Behavior

At the Household or Group level, the Next Interaction and Last Interaction dates are based only on the Primary Member's Events and Tasks, not all members of the Household.
