Syncing Multiple Responses for an Account Engagement Field with Salesforce

Udgivelsesdato: Sep 30, 2025
Beskrivelse
By default, Salesforce fields do not accept and display multiple values quite like Account Engagement fields can.
Løsning
There is an alternative solution using Account Engagement forms and custom fields to get around this limitation.

In Salesforce:
1. Create a custom field and make the data type = Picklist (Multi-Select). Add in default picklist values.
2. Unless you want to restrict values that can be in the field, do not check the option to restrict.
3. Add the field on the Lead/Contact page layout.

In Account Engagement:
1. Create a custom field that is Multi-Select (or text, depending on how you want to collect the data on forms).
2. Mark the field to "Record and display multiple responses (useful for fields that are set to always be displayed like reporting issues)", and set the Sync Behavior to Account Engagement as the primary value of this field.
3. Map to the newly created Salesforce field.

For example, when you create a Form, the field "Favorite Fruit" can be data type text (or multi-select/dropdown etc), the first form submission is "apples" and syncs the value with the CRM. The second form submission (from the same prospect) is for "grapes" and syncs this additional value with the CRM. When you look at the CRM the values are visible and separated by a comma (,) eg. Favorite Fruit: "apples", "grapes".

This should allow for reporting on the values of this field using "contains".

Note: Account Engagement can remove values as well, if Account Engagement is the primary record.
