It can also indicate that required System Permissions, Object Permissions, or Field Level Security permissions are missing.

When a Salesforce Field Service mobile app user receives the error "You are not setup as a field service technician resource," the issue is caused by a misconfigured Service Resource record or missing permissions. Verify the following to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Verify the Service Resource Record

Confirm the affected user has a Service Resource record linked to their User record, and that the following conditions are met:
  • The Service Resource record is marked as Active
  • The Service Resource record is shared with the affected user
  • The permission set for the Salesforce Field Service Resource has read and edit permission to the Service Resource Active field

Step 2: Verify Required Permissions
