Users may notice that the Post button is unavailable in Salesforce1 and Lightning Experience although it has been added to the object's page layout. The Chatter Post button may not appear on record pages in Salesforce Lightning Experience even when it has been added to the page layout. This typically occurs in one of two scenarios: the Lightning Page is using the older Chatter Feed component (which does not display publisher actions), or the Post Quick Action has not been added to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section of the page layout.
Scenario A: Chatter Feed Component Used Instead of Chatter ComponentThis issue occurs if the Lightning Page displays the Chatter Feed component.
The Chatter Feed component displays only the Chatter feed without any publisher actions. The Chatter component displays both the feed and publisher actions in one component.
Scenario B: Post Quick Action Not Added to Page LayoutThe issue occurs when the Chatter component is already added to the Lightning page but does not have 'Post' Quick Action added to Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions.
