Chatter User digest email contents

As per our Chatter Email Digests documentation, "Personal digests include the updates you see in your own Chatter feed, such as updates about the people, records, and files you follow and your groups."

However, it's important to note that it's not expected for all posts contained in a User's profile feed to also be included in their User digest email.
 
Examples that are expected to be present in a user's profile feed but not included in digest emails:
  • Posts made on records that are not followed unless they have been commented on by the User.
  • Feed tracked changes made to records by a User if there are no follow up comments made by the User receiving the digest or the record is not being followed by the User.
Note: See Feed Tracked changes in "What I Follow" feed for details on changes which increased the number of system generated posts included in user digests.
 
  • User digest emails may contain up to 50 of the Users most recent posts. If the post limit is reached the digest email notes this at the bottom indicating that it doesn't include all posts from the User's feed.

Digest emails are composed of 3 sections:

To Me: Posts made directly on the User's wall (from other Users and self) or mentions made directly to the User in a post or follow up comment.

My Groups: Mentions made to groups or comments posted in groups the User is a member of, but only if the User is not already receiving a digest for said groups.

What I Follow: This section would include any Chatter posts made on records you follow including your own posts and feed tracked changes as well as posts that have also been commented on by you.
